A Simple Tool to Check Your Child's Development

 Why use a checklist?

A growth checklist highlights of some of the most important skills that a child should reach by age.  It is meant to be a quick survey to show any areas that may require some extra attention.

In Guelph and Wellington County a checklist can be found in a range of public places.  The checklist is called the Nipissing District Developmental Screen.

  • Doctors offices
  • Libraries
  • Ontario Early Years
  • Child Care Centres
  • KidsAbility
  • Canadian Mental Health Association
  • Public Health buildings

The Nipissing District Developmental Screen Checklist can also be ordered free of charge on their website.
